I have come to appreciate american classics, although they to do not completely cater to my haute couture or bespoke desires, these two recent items I acquired are quite impressive. These John Varvatos Converse mock ups are stunning, well constructed and utilize the notion of the rustic west, with the buffalo red plaid. Did I mention Woolrich lined interior? The corduroys are Levi Strauss 511, which as I discovered recently from an insider will be discontinued soon, which is quite unfortunate considering they have been a staple in the Levi Strauss line on and off for about 40 years, at least. In the seventies they produced the 511 in staggering array of colors but began limiting the production in the 80’s.
